Dean K. Akazawa is the Founder and Managing Principal of Probitas Wealth Management, a practice dedicated to providing personalized, financial strategies. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dean holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Accredited Portfolio Manager Advisor (APMA®).

With over 35 years in the financial industry, Dean’s career includes 17 years at Wells Fargo Advisors as a Managing Principal - Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager, as well as 20 years at UBS as a Vice President of Investments.

Dean founded Probitas Wealth Management to help ensure that his clients would continue to receive the highest level of care, no matter what the future holds. He’s passionate about providing thoughtful, personalized investment strategies, and avoids one-size-fits-all solutions. For Dean, it’s all about working alongside his clients to create a plan that’s as unique as they are.

When he’s not helping clients secure their financial futures, Dean is active in his community. He’s the Grand Knight of his local Knights of Columbus Council, where he leads initiatives to support those in need. Dean also enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying healthy, and never misses an opportunity to improve his professional skills.

Matt Guillaume is a Financial Advisor with Probitas Wealth Management who leads with empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand people. He became a Financial Advisor to build meaningful, long‑term relationships and to be someone clients can rely on through every financial chapter. Matt takes the time to listen to each client’s goals, concerns, and hopes, helping them make thoughtful decisions that support both their lives today and the future they envision.

Clients appreciate Matt’s grounded, practical approach and the way he communicates complex topics with clarity and care. He believes the best advice comes from truly knowing someone, which is why he prioritizes connection and open conversation in every client relationship. Before joining Probitas, Matt spent seven years at First Republic Bank as a Fraud Analyst, where he developed a strong analytical foundation and a deep respect for client trust and security. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Diego.

Outside of work, Matt stays connected to his community as a part‑time high school football coach at Miramonte High School. He enjoys golf, sports, and time with his wife, Karlee, their daughter Georgia and their dog Dax. Matt works with individuals and families who value a personalized approach, steady guidance, and a trusted partner who listens with intention and leads with heart.
